OVER 27 MILLION EURO ANNOUNCED TO FIX GALWAY ROADS

Over €27 million has been allocated by the Government to fix roads in Galway.

The announcement was made by Minister for Transport, Noel Dempsey, this afternoon.

Galway County Council will receive €23 million, while the City Council will get €3.7 million.

A further €195,000 has been allocated to Ballinasloe Town Council.

The funding is part of a €411 million programme for Local and Regional Roads across the country.
