OVER 1700 CARS SOLD IN GALWAY UNDER SCRAPPAGE SCHEME

Just over 1-thousand-700 cars were sold in Galway under the Government scrappage scheme.

That represents 6 percent of the total number sold and is the third highest in the country behind Dublin and Cork.

Just under 30-thousand cars were sold in Ireland under the scheme since its introduction in 2010.
