Over 1,500 children awaiting speech and language therapy

Over 1500 children are waiting for speech and language therapy across the city and county.
The data obtained by Roscommon Galway TD Eugene Murphy also shows that a further 577 are awaiting at initial assessment at UHG.
The Fianna Fail deputy said the waiting lists are unacceptable as early intervention is critical to child development.
He said such waiting times can be very damaging.
