Over 100 lines of inquiry as Gardai probe city burglary

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardai are pursuing over one hundred lines of inquiry as part of their investigation into an aggravated theft in the city centre earlier this month.

A 60 year old man, who’s the owner of the Hole in the Wall pub, was tied up during the incident which happened at a house on Eyre Street at around 4am on August 6th.

A substantial sum of money, believed to be tens of thousands of euro, which was in a suitcase was taken by the raiders during the ordeal.

Gardaí are continuing to review an extensive amount of CCTV video footage from the area.

A spokesperson says over 100 lines of inquiry are now being pursued by the investigation team.
