OUT DATED TRAFFIC DATA PRESENTED AT M17 ORAL HEARING

It’s emerged traffic projections for the proposed M17 motorway from Tuam to Galway are based on a survey carried out 8 years ago in August 2000.

But Traffic expert Steven Wallace insists there’s been an annual traffic growth of zero per cent since then.

Mr Wallace admitted he’s based his traffic analysis on an 8 year old survey during cross-examination by a legal representative of an objector at the M17 oral hearing today.
