Oughterard station records earthquake activity

Earthquake activity from around the world is being recorded at a seismography station in the Glengowla Mines Centre in Oughterard.

Data from Glengowla goes into the National Seismic Network and into the international earthquake monitoring system.

The Glengowla station recorded one of the strongest periods of earthquake activity yesterday.
