THE Galway senior camogie team maintained their winning run in the National League when overcoming Offaly in Kilbeacanty on Sunday.

The Tribeswomen impressed for long spells of this match and maintained their early season momentum, ahead of a National League final clash with Cork on April 9.

Galway had nine different scorers on the day and displayed a level of sharpness which has been a feature of their league campaign so far. Galway have certainly displayed no All-Ireland hangover in 2022 and look as hungry as ever, going into their third league final appearance in four seasons.

In a sun drenched Kilbeacanty, the home team were far too strong for an Offaly side who brought a good level of work rate but lacked the overall quality of the All-Ireland champions. Galway made a strong start to this game and registered the first four points of the afternoon.

Ailish O’Reilly, Orlaith McGrath, Catherine Finnerty and a pointed free from Carrie Dolan saw the Tribeswomen work the scoreboard operator early on. Offaly got off the mark with a free from Mairéad Teehan before Rebecca Hennelly replied with a point at the other end, after a great cross field ball from Áine Keane.
