Oranmore train station opens to public
Galway Bay fm newsroom – The new railway station in Oranmore has now opened to the public.
The Gurrane based facility accepted its first rail passengers at 8.40 this morning on the Galway to Hueston Dublin connection.
23 services on the Dublin and Limerick lines will pass through the station daily, 22 on Saturdays, and 15 on Sundays.
The station will be officially opened by Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Leo Varadkar TD tomorrow (29th July).
Station Manager Peter Caulfield told Galway Bay fm news that there has been a lot of local interest on a very proud day for Oranmore and its general catchment area.
