ORAMMORE COUNTS COST OF VANDALISM

ORANMORE people and visitors to Renville Park are still reeling at the extent of damage caused to toilets, washrooms and a children’s playground there early today.(Sat).

Toilets, washbasins, urinals and other fixtures and fitting were smashed and pulled from their moorings by the vandals.

Windows were smashed at the toilets building and broken glass and beer cans were scattered on a children’s playground.

Thousands of Euro in damage was caused by the vandals and Oranmore Gardai and Co Council workers have been on the scene for much of today.

The Gardai says the vandals went on the rampage sometime between midnight and 7 am and they are appealing for witnesses to contact them at 091-388030.
