ORAL HEARING TO OPEN ON CITY OUTER BYPASS AT EUROPEAN COURTS

An oral hearing on the Galway City Outer Bypass takes place at the courts of the European Union in Luxembourg this morning. (12/09)

The case will see the European Court of Justice rule on the interpretation of conservation areas under the European Council’s habitats directive.

The hearing, involving Sweetman and others, will be heard in English from 9:30 local time Luxembourg, and is expected to take several hours.
