OPENING OF GALWAY SEXUAL ASSAULT UNIT FURTHER DELAYED

The opening of the sexual assault treatment unit for Galway has been further delayed.

The HSE had originally guaranteed the opening of the unit in Parkmore for May, but then said the opening could not go ahead until the end of June because of recruitment issues.

When contacted by Galway Bay fm News, a spokesperson for the HSE was unable to give an estimated opening date for the service, even though the June deadline has passed
