Online laughs with Karl and special guests

The Comedy KARLnival Online with Karl Spain and Friends returns this Friday night, February 19, at 8pm. Russell Kane, Paul McCaffrey and Josh Jones are the special gig for this week’s show, which is hosted by Karl Spain and presented by Róisín Dubh Comedy and Off the Kerb Productions.

Multi-award-winning comedian, presenter, actor, author and scriptwriter Russell Kane is best known for the flagship podcast, Evil Genius, which challenges how heroes and villains are represented in history. It’s available on the BBC Sounds platform. Russell’s other podcast Boys Don’t Cry, which delves into the deep recesses of male insecurity, also features regularly on the iTunes top charts for listened-to podcasts and there’s a new series of it out now.

Russell won Best Show in 2010 at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and became the first comedian to win both the Edinburgh Comedy Award and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Barry Award in the same year.

His recent TV appearances include The Apprentice You’re Fired, The One Show, Antiques Roadtrip, Stupid Man, Smart Phone and he hosted three series of Live at The Electric.  He was most recently on the road with his The Fast and the Curious tour of Ireland and the UK.   Russell continues to provide his popular topical online rants ‘Kaneings’ on his own YouTube channel.
