ONE STILL HELD AFTER DRUGS RAID IN PORTUMNA

One person is still in custody this morning following a major Garda Drugs operation in Portumna yesterday.

Gardai from Portumna and Loughrea backed up by the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit and the Dogs Unit raided a premises in Portumna yesterday afternoon.

Drugs worth an estimated 70,000 euro were seized.

Two people were arrested under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and were taken to Loughrea Garda station last evening.

One person was released last night, while the second is still being detained for questioning.
