ONE QUARTER OF YOUNG MEN IN COUNTY UNEMPLOYED

Over a quarter of young men living in the county are unemployed.

CSO figures released this week reveal there are over 13 hundred men aged 20 to 24 looking for their first job.

Under a fifth, or 770 women, in the same aged bracket, living in the County are unemployed.

In the city, under a sixth or 643 men, and and one tenth or 464 women, aged between 20-24 identified themselves as unemployed.
