OBJECTIONS TO ORANMORE RAIL STATION

Objections have been raised to a new commuter rail station for Oranmore.

A ten page document outlining reasons why the new station should not go ahead has been submitted to the offices of Galway County Council.

The application, for the station on the Gurrane road between Oranmore and Roscam is currently being assessed by county planners.

The detailed document submitted by GHS consultancy, on behalf of a D. Furey, outlines several concerns over the proposed location of the rail station.
