OBJECTION TO BAR LICENCE RENEWAL FOR CLYBAUN HOTEL

A member of the Travelling Community has objected to the renewal of a city hotel’s intoxicating liquor licence

John McDonagh, of 3 Garraí Dhonaill, Cappagh Road, objected to the renewal of the Clybaun Hotel’s drinks licence under Section 19 of the Intoxicating Liquor Act 2003.

Mr McDonagh claimed he and members of his family had been discriminated against by being refused service at the Clybaun hotel last year.

Judge Mary Fahy adjourned the matter for hearing to a special sitting of Galway District Court on November 2.
