It could be a stormy day ahead for Fianna Fail – as former minister Eamon O’Cuiv of Galway West decides whether to remain on as a member of the party.

It’s after he was sent a letter from the party whip over the weekend, requesting that he refrain from taking part in media interviews on the fiscal treaty.

He went against the party line by calling for a NO vote on polling day.

He’s expected to make his latest statement this evening in response to the weekend letter.

Political correspondent with the Sunday Independent, John Drennan, has described Eamon O’Cuiv as a ‘pebble in the shoe’ of party leader Michéal Martin.
