O’Connor joins Mervue coaching staff

MERVUE United first team manager Johnny Glynn has confirmed his final appointment to his backroom team as Gary O’Connor will be joining his coaching staff for the new Airtricity 2011 season.

O’Connor is well known within the club having played almost all his footballing life for the club, apart from a couple of seasons with Galway Utd, and he has been coaching club teams for the past number of years.

“Gary is someone I have always admired. He has a great knowledge of the game and combined with the energy he applies to his coaching he is a great addition to the coaching team,” Glynn said.
