Nursing home owners to lobby Galway politicians
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Nursing home owners are visiting Galway politicians this month to highlight what they say is “an impending crisis in care.
”
There are 38 nursing homes in Galway providing care for more than 15 hundred residents.
15 hundred people are also employed in the sector in Galway.
As part of a national campaign, Nursing Home Ireland members will visit TDs, Senators and Councillors in Galway.
The campaign aims to set out the challenges in care delivery and the urgent need to address requirements in the sector to meet escalating demand.
Speaking to Galway Bay fm News, CEO of Nursing Homes Ireland, Tadhg Daly says the Government should set up a ‘Forum on Long-term Resident Care’.
