NUIG TO RESEARCH SOCIAL EXCLUSION AMONG THE ELDERLY

A group of NUIG researchers is planning to investigate social exclusion among older people living in rural areas of Connemara.

The Rural Community Network and FORUM Letterfrack will help NUIG Professor Eamon O’Shea to find out how some older people can end up being excluded from society.

The NUIG project has been granted 85 thousand euro by the Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland.
