NUIG TO HOST PIVOTAL CONFERENCE ON ALZHEIMERS AND PARKINSONS

Experts in the field of neuroscience from around Ireland, Britain and Europe will converge on NUI Galway this week.

The latest neuroscience research into diseases such as Alzheimers, Parkinsons and Mutiple Sclerosis will be discussed at the national meeting of Neuroscience Ireland at NUIG.

The aim of the two-day conference which begins on Thursday [28/8] is to develop treatments for all kinds of disorders.

Conference organiser, Dr. Karen Doyle of NUIG says the conference will focus on research for developing new therapies for patients.
