NUIG STUDENTS IN BID TO REDUCE ROAD DEATHS

Students at NUIGalway are taking a pro-active approach to try and reduce the death toll on our roads.

They’ll launch a road safety campaign at the college this Thursday [13/3] aimed at over 16 thousand students and staff, led by first year engineering students.

Funds collected during the campaign will be used to buy a defibrillator for Galway Fire and Rescue service.

The road safety campaign, which is supported by NUIG’s Community Knowledge Initiative, is expected to continue with a series of initiatives and talks on campus about road safety.
