NUIG AND GMIT HEADS TO PROPOSE CHANGES TO CAO

President of NUI Galway Dr. James Browne and President of GMIT Michael Carmody are to compile proposals on reform of the CAO system.

The Department of Education is seeking the proposals from Galway’s third level heads as well as 6 other University Presidents and the Heads of Institutes of Technology.

According to today’s Irish Times, the request comes as Minister for Education, Ruairí Quinn, pushes ahead with his reform programme.
