NUI GALWAY CHOSEN FOR MAJOR CROSS BORDER RESEARCH PROJECT

NUIGalway has received a grant of 1.3 million euro for a collaboration with the University of Ulster.

The money will be used for cutting edge research into bio-materials tackling scientific challenges in the areas of medical devices, nano-technology and tissue engineering.

The funding is being allocated under the Northern Ireland Department for Employment and Learning’s Cross Border R&D funding programme.
