NTA TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR GALWAY AIRPORT PARK ‘N’ RIDE

The National Transport Authority has agreed to allocate funding of 100 thousand euro to facilitate a park ‘n’ ride scheme on lands at Galway airport.

Galway West TD Brian Walsh says contracts for the one year pilot scheme at Carnmore are expected to be signed in the coming weeks.

The news comes ahead of today’s meeting of Galway City Council which last month voted in favour of allocating 50 thousand euro to the aiport on certain conditions.
