The National Roads Authority has been successful in blocking a tyre-servicing centre being built in Athenry.

Kevin Burke had been given the go-ahead by the County Council for the development at Farranblake West, Athenry.

However the NRA appealed that decision to An Bord Pleanála, which has now overturned the decision
