The National Parks and Wildlife Service has rejected claims that it has imposed an order preventing the OPW from using machinery to carry out flood works in Frenchfort, Oranmore.

It says the issue of the NPWS not consenting to the use of machinery by the OPW on this site does not arise, as such use was never sought.

The NPWS concludes that if such an application were to be made, the group would consider it under the appropriate EU regulations, in view of the potential impact on the SAC.
