NOVA Art Collective for Kinvara exhibition

The NOVA Contemporary Art Collective will show their new exhibition To the Waters and the Wild in Kinvara from this weekend.

NOVA is made up of artists who are graduating this year with a BA (Hons) degree in Contemporary Art from the Centre for Creative Arts and Media at GMIT. The members came together with the aim of supporting each other in their art practice.

To the Waters and the Wild is the first show from the group and they are delighted to have been given the opportunity by the KAVA Courthouse Gallery in Kinvara to exhibit a widely diverse range of work inspired by W.B. Yeats’ poem, The Stolen Child. Their contrasting styles often lead to surprising results.

The members of the NOVA Contemporary Art Collective are Katie Burke, Aine Doherty, Róisín Doherty, Maria Donegan, Anne Greene, Emer MacDermott, Hugh Murphy, Louise O’Boyle, Tonita O’Dwyer and Keith Watts.

To the Waters and the Wild will be officially launched by Dr Gavin Murphy of GMIT, with music by Conor Gilpin at Kinvara’s Courthouse this Friday at 7pm. All are welcome.

The exhibition will continue until next Thursday, August 29, and is open from 11am to 5pm daily.
