Nominees announced for AIMS Awards
Several local musical societies have been shortlisted for AIMS nominations for 2019/20 – the nominees were announced via Zoom on Sunday,
Galway University Musical Society led the way, receiving three nominations for their show, Kipps, with Adam O’Connor up for Best Comedian while Jodie Finn and Nia Northime were shortlisted for Best Ensemble and Best Choreographer.
Ballinrobe Musical Society got two nominations for The Pirates of Penzance; Eoin Mullins for Best Male Singer and Sean Costello Senior for Unsung Hero.
Two nominations also went to 9 Arch Musical Society, Claregalway, for Fiddler on the Roof. Alan Greaney is up for Best Male Voice and Kevin Murphy for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
Tuam’s Marian Choral Society also got two for The Producers; Niall Conway for Best Comedian and also for Best Choreography.
