NO REPORTED ILLNESS FROM CLARINBRIDGE WATER BUG

There are no reported cases of illness from the Clarinbridge water bug
Galway County Council is awaiting the results of water tests on the public water supply in Clarinbridge
It now looks likely that the Boil Notice for the Clarinbridge Public Water Supply and connected group schemes will remain in place for several more days
The HSE West put the notice in force on Friday evening after tests showed the water to be contaminated
The tests indicated high incidences of the bug known as ‘clostridium per frin gens’ in the system
A spokesperson for HSE West has confirmed there are no reported cases of illness from the problem with the water in Clarinbridge
Director of Services, Jim Cullen says they will have the results of more tests by the end of the week, but the Boil Notice will remain until then
