NO PLANS TO MOVE ATHENRY COURT SITTINGS

There are no proposals to move the monthly court sittings out of Athenry, according to East Galway T.D Noel Treacy.

The Fianna Fáil T.D says he has been informed by the Courts Service and the Minister for Justice that they’re pursuing the acquisition of a site in Athenry for a new courthouse.

Deputy Treacy says in the meantime, temporary accommodation is also being sourced.
