It’ll be the end of the year, before a new air route from Galway to Dublin could come into operation, if at all, according to management at Galway Airport.

Aer Arann will cease operating the route from July 21st.

Manager of Galway Airport, Joe Walsh, says the timing of the decision to cease the Galway-Dublin route, means its ‘very difficult’ to establish a new service.

He says no such service could operate without Government assistance anyway.
