No injuries in Ballinasloe Garage fire

No one was injured and two units of Ballinasloe Fire Brigade prevented a blaze in a car repair workshop in the town’s Athlone Road area from spreading to nearby business this afternoon (Saturday).
The fire is thought to have started shortly after lunchtime today at a time when a mechanic is understood to have been working on a car in the garage-workshop at Kilgarve.
Gardai and firefighters from Ballinasloe were quickly on the scene and the fire was brought under control and prevented from spreading to nearby business premises.
