AS the boxes are being opened at the Galway count centre no clear trend is emerging yet early this morning regarding how people voted in this area in the Seanad and Court of Appeal referendums.

Similar to the rest of the country the turnout in most areas of Galway was low at approximately 30 per cent.
There is very little early interest in the outcome at the count centre this morning with only two tallymen in attendance so far according to Galway registrar Marian Chambers Higgins.
