NO ARRESTS YET IN CITY WEEKEND ASSAULT

No arrests have yet been made in the investigation into a serious assault on a young man in the city last week.

The victim, who’s in his early twenties, was taken to UHG after he was seriously assaulted outside Kennedy’s Bar in Eyre Square between 2 and 3.30 am on Friday.

He was later discharged with no serious injuries.

Galway Gardai are working to establish the identity of his attacker and are examining CCTV footage from around Eyre Square.
