NEWCASTLE MAN GETS 21 MONTHS IN PRISON FOR ROBBERY AT CITY STORE

A 32 year old father of two was sentenced to 21 months in prison at Galway District Court for his part in the robbery of a safe from a D.I.D Electrical store on the outskirts of the city last December.

Jonathan King of 18 Gaelcarrig Park, Newcastle, pleaded guilty to burglary at D.I.D Electrical, Ballybrit Business Park, in the early hours of December 16 last.

King also pleaded guilty to being found in possession of a ladder and tools which were intended for use in the burglary.
