Salthill’s Norman Villa Gallery will host a new exhibition for Christmas featuring work from Barrie Cooke, Jay Murphy, Debbi O’Hehir, Margaret Irwin, Kathleen Furey and Mike Wilkins. The show, entitled XI, will open this Friday night and will run until December 21.
The Norman Villa Gallery, which is located beside PJ’s Pub in Salthill is open from 2-6pm daily during exhibitions, or by appointment.
Meanwhile, On The Tide of History, the latest show from sculptor John Behan will run at the Kenny Gallery in Liosban until December 20.
The exhibition, which was opened last Friday by NUIG’s Professor Adrian Frazier, is a collection of new works depicting the painful journey of two cultures – the Jews and the Irish. Behan makes connections between the stories, and struggles of both peoples.
The show can be viewed from 9-5pm Monday to Saturday.
