New TV show wants to create bungalow bliss

The team who brought The Great House Revival to our TV screens are now embarking on a new project, also fronted by Home of the Year’s Hugh Wallace – and they want to feature your bungalow!

My Bungalow Bliss is a new and exciting home renovation show from Animo TV and RTE, and the producers are on the hunt for homeowners across the country who are embarking on renovations to their beloved bungalow.

In the 70s, bungalows began to pop up across Ireland thanks to readily available off-the-shelf plans.

Assistant Producer Emma Keane said: “These bungalows have raised over three generations within their instantly recognisable walls. But many have been untouched since they were built, and would benefit from new designs and sustainable interventions to keep them fit for purpose.

“Four bungalow owners will be matched up with four innovative architects, who will redesign their homes making them contemporary and more eco-friendly.
