New severe flood alert scheme for South Galway
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A ‘Severe Flood Alert Service’ for South Galway has been launched by the County Council.
The free alerts will provide information to residents and businesses about severe weather events, flood levels and road closures.
It’ll also include information on how to access necessary emergency supports such as housing assistance and humanitarian aid.
To register for the alerts, text the word ALERTS followed by your townland to 087 77 99 888 or sign up to email alerts by going to the County Council website.
