NEW RETAIL UNITS TO BE BUILT AT NEWCASTLE INTERSECTION

The city council has given the go ahead to a new development at a busy intersection in the city.

Sawgrass Properties can now proceed with the construction of a new shop, off-licence and cafe at their three storey development at the intersection of Newcastle Road and University Road.

City planners attached 8 conditions to the development, chief among those being an opening restriction on the cafe which must not operated after 10pm and customers must be off the premises.
