NEW PRINCIPAL ANNOUNCED AT GAIRMSCOIL MHUIRE ATHENRY

The current deputy prinicpal at Gairmscoil Mhuire in Athenry is to take over as acting Principal.

Ciaran Folan will suceed Alan Mongey who has been appointed Principal of the new Post Primary School in Claregalway.

Mr Mongey will officially begin his duties on the first of February.

In a statement CEO of County Galway VEC, Mr. Seosamh Mac Donncha, says the VEC is delighted to be in a position to appoint such a highly qualified and innovative educational leader to head up Athenry Vocational School.

The process of appointing a successor to Mr. Folan and the position of Deputy Principal at Gairmscoil Mhuire, Athenry, is being advertised this weekend.
