NEW PRIMARY SCHOOL BUILDING FOR LOUGHREA

There’s more good news for the education and construction sector in Galway with news that Loughrea is to get a new primary school building.

Minister of State at the Department of Education, Galway East T.D, Ciaran Cannon says a new building will be provided for Gaelscoil Riabhach.

The school has seen pupil numbers grow considerably over the past decade and has been operating out of pre-fabs.

A site for a new school building is now being investigated.

It follows an announcement earlier this week of a new building for the Presentation Secondary School in Athenry.

Speaking to Galway Bay Fm News, Junior Minister Cannon, says Loughrea could have a new primary gaelscoil building in the next 3 years.
