O’Malley Construction have just announced the next phase of new homes is now under construction at their Réileán development on the eastern side of Galway City.

This phase at Roscam consists of a range of terraced, end-of-terrace, semi-detached and detached houses. With prices starting at €275,000.

Sizes will vary from 1,200 square feet up to almost 1,800 sq ft and include both three and four-bedroom layouts.

A spokesperson for O’Malley’s told Tribune Property: “All houses are a two-storey design, thus providing a much larger footprint which is particularly noticeable on the ground floor in terms of living areas.

“The houses are also being constructed to modern standards providing high levels of heat conservation, sound proofing, efficient heating systems and energy cost reductions.

“The four-bed houses will achieve a BER rating of A3 and the elevations of all houses will include a combination of brickwork, natural stone and other design features. Prices will start from €275,000.

“We expect the first houses to be ready for occupancy in Spring 2017 and each house will be finished to the individual purchaser’s requirements.

“Most potential purchasers today are very knowledgeable and familiar with the O’Malley’s product. They are very interested in the building specification and energy systems being used to reduce heat loss and energy costs,” the spokesperson said.

Since 2001, O’Malley’s have built a number of developments in the Roscam area including Caiseal Cam, Ros Caoin, Duirling and most recently Boireann Bheag.

The company has planning permission for a new development adjacent to Réileán, consisting of a further 62 units with access from the Oranmore Coast Road, to be released early next year. The development will be called Tuarín.

O’Malley’s are also currently completing a scheme of 74 high-end houses and apartments at Clonskeagh in South Dublin, where large houses sold for in excess of €1 million.
