NEW MEDICAL DEVICES PLANT APPROVED FOR CITY

Plans for a new manufacturing plant creating 100 new jobs in the city have been given the green light.

County planners have approved Merit Medical Ltd’s application for a facility at Parkmore East Industrial Estate.

The firm announced last month that it was to provide 100 new jobs by making Galway its European Centre for surgical pre-packing.
