NEW MEASURES TO EASE OVERCROWDING AT UHG
Date Published: 22-May-2011
New measures to alleviate overcrowding at University Hospital Galway’s Emergency Department will be introduced in November.
That’s according to UHG General Manager Dr David O’Keefe.
He was grilled by Galway TDs and Health Forum members at a recent meeting after the hospital was once again named the worst in Ireland.
Over 4,000 patients were treated on trolleys at UHG last year – that’s more than double the figure of 2006.
