New local area plans for Ballinasloe, Headford and Portumna
Galway Bay fm newsroom – The deadline is looming for submissions on the new Local Area Plans for Ballinasloe, Headford and Portumna.
The plans will set out a framework for the future development of the towns for a minimum of six years.
The new Local Area Plans for the towns of Ballinasloe, Headford and Portumna will address key issues including economic opportunities, flood risk, infastructure, community facilities and heritage and nature conservation.
Background issues papers have been prepared for each of the three towns and are available from County Hall and the Tuam, Ballinasloe and Portumna County Council offices and libraries.
The County Council is inviting the general public to send pre-draft submissions and observations on the proposed plans in writing before Friday 4th July.
Public information sessions to provide further information on the development of the plans will be announced at a later date.
