NEW INQUIRTY INTO 8 YR DELAY IN BROTHERS OF CHARITY REPORT

The Government is to set up an independent inquiry into the delay in compiling the report into abuse at the Brother’s of Charity residential centres in Galway.

Minister of State for Health Jimmy Devins told the Dail that he considered the delay of eight years unacceptable.

He told TDs the HSE is developing protocols for the management of all future inquiries of this kind, at the request of the Department of Health and Children.
