NEW GUIDE FOR DEMENTIA CARE LAUNCHED

Healthcare professionals working with dementia patients in Galway can now benefit from a new practical guide on resources in their field.

‘Dementia in Primary Care: A guide for healthcare professionals working in Dementia care’ , features contributions from some of Ireland’s dementia experts and addresses central issues such as communicating with dementia patients and capacity assessment.

Senior care organisation ‘Home Instead’ which has 22 branches, including one in Parkmore in the city, recently published the new guide.
