NEW GARDA HEADQUARTERS TO BE BUILT IN GALWAY CITY

A new Garda Headquarters for Galway city is expected to be built by 2012.

The new divisional and regional headquarters will be based on a site in Murrough on the Dublin road in Renmore.

Over 200 Gardaí of all ranks from Galway city and Oranmore branches will have use of the new facilities once up and running.
