NEW DIGITAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES

A new state of the art digital radio system for emergency services in Galway has been given the go ahead.

Eircom limited has been granted permission to build a 15 metres support pole at the Eircom Exchange in Scrahalia, Cashel, to carry three radio aerials for the Garda, ambulance and Fire Brigade services.

The new digital radio services will provide 100 percent coverage to have one to one or group between locations nationwide between the fire brigade and paramedics.
